West Coast Eagles young gun Ella Roberts has once again been recognised among the AFLW’s elite, earning selection in the 2025 AFLW All-Australian squad of 42.

The dynamic midfielder-forward has backed up her 2024 campaign with another stellar season in the blue and gold, securing consecutive nominations in the prestigious squad.

Roberts’ consistency and impact across the 2025 season were undeniable, playing 11 matches and contributing seven goals and 11 behinds. Roberts averaged an impressive 23.3 disposals per game at 56.6% disposal efficiency, while also leading the way with 14.7 contested possessions, 3.9 clearances, 1.7 centre clearances, 6.9 tackles, 4.9 score involvements and 3.9 inside 50s.

Her selection in the All-Australian squad comes alongside her nomination in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 squad. A testament to her growing reputation as one of the competition’s brightest young stars.

Since debuting in 2022, Roberts has continued to elevate her game, becoming a cornerstone of the Eagles’ AFLW program and a fan favourite for her fearless style of play and relentless work ethic.

Head of Women’s Football Michelle Cowan said the recognition is a fitting reward for Ella’s dedication and influence across the season.

“Ella has had such a consistent season delivering high impact performances week in week out, and she is electric to watch,” Cowan said.

“Ella’s fierce competitiveness, relentless drive to win and unwavering commitment to lifting her teammates has been instrumental in our season this year.

“I’ve seen her leadership on and off the field go to a new level and she is hungry to elevate our club.”

The final team of 21, which includes a captain and a vice-captain and selected as if playing in a match, will be announced at the W Awards on Monday 24 November.
