West Adelaide big man Harry Barnett was rated the best ruck in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft and the Eagles were delighted to swoop on him with pick 23 in the national player ballot. Barnett is capable of taking a mark inside 50, impacting around the ground and has senior SANFL experience after progressing through the ranks in 2022. He worked on his craft at WAFL level in 2023, that work paying off when he was called up to make his debut in round 16 against St Kilda. Aside from his stature, Barnett also possesses the running ability to compete with some of the most athletic rucks in the game.
