Outstanding young midfielder Luke Shuey will miss at least another week with a hamstring strain, so will not make the trip to AAMI Stadium for the crucial clash with Adelaide on Saturday night.

Shuey, a late withdrawal against Essendon last Thursday night, is listed as missing a further one to two weeks as he recovers from the set-back which occurred at training on the eve of the game.

His close mate, Scott Selwood, however, is progressing nicely after fracturing his thumb against Hawthorn a couple of weeks ago and will miss five to six weeks because there was no need for surgery.

And in further good news, star recruit Sharrod Wellingham could be ready to resume this weekend, although the dampener is that East Perth is fixture for consecutive byes in the WAFL.

Wellingham has not played since damaging his ankle against North Melbourne and will probably need a match or two to come to hand. He is listed as a test with East Fremantle forward Brad Dick.

Lively half-forward Josh Hill should also be available.
