West Coast has invited midfielders Logan Young and Tom Joyce to train with the squad under Pre-season Supplemental Selection Period rules.

Young is a 190cm prospect who spent last year playing for the Sandringham Dragons in the NAB League, and in the VFL competition for North Melbourne and Sydney.

The 20-year-old has already committed to joining the WAFL Eagles in 2022 but will train with the senior squad from Tuesday in a bid to earn a rookie spot.

Joyce is a 181cm onballer who spent the past three seasons on Brisbane’s list without playing a senior game after being drafted from East Fremantle with pick 40 in 2018.

The 21-year-old (pictured in main photo) will begin training with the squad next Monday.

The midfield duo join fellow SSP hopefuls Luke Strnadica and Kade Dittmar, who started training with the Eagles in December.

West Coast can sign up to two players during the Pre-season Supplemental Selection Period from January 10 to March 9, or keep rookie list spots open until the Mid-Season Rookie Draft on June 1.
