Earlier this month both Year 11 and 12 West Coast Eagles SEDA classes were joined by members of the West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) to take part in an Eagles Faction Footy Day held at Mineral Resources Park.

Through our partnership with SEDA we endeavour to provide opportunities and experiences to students to empower them skills, knowledge and attitude for a successful future.

The SEDA students took part in some classroom-based learning delivered by WAFC school specialist Regan Atkinson and WAFL club district officers understanding the rules and regulations of the Eagles Faction Footy program and how to run it effectively in schools.

Students participated in a contested game of Faction Footy as the students revelled in competing against their peers with bragging rights up for grabs.

Every week, SEDA classes are run all over WA in schools as part of their clinic days providing them with hands on learning in an area of interest.

Eagles Faction Footy is a free primary school, intra-school program which offers boys and girls of all ages the opportunity to learn the skills of footy in a safe, fun environment whilst also enabling teachers to facilitate this program as part of the school curriculum.

Over 365 schools and 80,000 students across WA have taken part in this across the past year.
