With the 2022 AFL season complete, attention quickly turns to the upcoming player exchange period - kicking off this Friday when free agency begins.

The AFL Trade Period then gets into full swing next Monday, October 3, with a busy 10 days ahead for list managers.

West Coast is set to be involved after premiership forward Junior Rioli requested a trade to Port Adelaide.

“Junior has made his decision and while he has indicated Port is his preferred destination we will work to get the best outcome for our club,” CEO Trevor Nisbett said two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the indicative draft order has been locked in following the Grand Final, with the Eagles currently holding picks two, 20, 26 and 38.

The first round of the 2022 NAB AFL Draft will be staged on Monday, November 28, with the remainder of the draft completed the following evening.
