The West Coast Eagles will fly east for a round one clash against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium to kick-off next season.

Keen to put a tough 2022 behind them, the Eagles will face the Kangaroos on Saturday, March 18 to get the fresh campaign underway.

Bouncedown will be at 1.45pm local time (10.45am in Western Australia).

West Coast could unveil several debutants in the Roos clash, with ex-Melbourne speedster Jayden Hunt, last year's top draftee Campbell Chesser and this year's draft crop - headlined by first-round picks Reuben Ginbey and Elijah Hewett - likely to be pushing their cases to play.

It could also herald the return of some sorely-missed key players, including tall forward Oscar Allen, important defender Tom Cole and 2018 premiership hero Dom Sheed, who combined for one senior game between them last season due to injuries.

No matches will be played at Optus Stadium in round one due to the unavailability of the venue following an Ed Sheeran concert.

However, West Coast is set to play at home in round two, as will Fremantle.

The entire fixture for next season, featuring the first 15 rounds with locations, dates and start times locked in - plus opponents and venues for the remaining rounds with other details to be confirmed - will be released by the AFL late next week.
