Adding another incredible achievement to an already stellar season, West Coast Eagles young gun Ella Roberts has been named in the final 22Under22 team.

Teenage talent Roberts was the most selected forward across the competition for a place in the 22Under22 and becomes the first Eagle to make the final team.

Roberts was named the round one Rising Star nominee after her outstanding performance in the AFLW RAC Derby, finishing with a game-high 24 touches, four marks and four tackles, and was awarded the RAC Derby medal for best on ground.

The 18-year-old finished runner up Club Champion for her standout 2023 season, impressing with her reliable and consistent high-flying marks, ferocious tackles and her thumping kick.

Roberts has produced an enticing case for the 2023 Rising Star, which will be announced at this year’s W Awards on Monday November 27.

22Under22 is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season, including finals.

For a player to be eligible for the squad of 44, they were required to play 50 per cent of season games, equating to five matches.
