The West Coast Eagles have named their extended squad for Sunday’s RAC Derby at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Veteran defender Belinda Smith has been included in the squad, after being unavailable for the first four rounds with a quad injury sustained in the pre-season.

With a team-high 70 AFLW games under her belt, Smith will bring a mountain of experience to a young and developing group, should she be named in the final team to face Fremantle.

Smith returns for young forward Courtney Lindgren who comes out of the squad this week with a back injury.

Key forward Amy Franklin and experienced utility Dana Hooker have also been included in the extended squad to face their former club, joined by young midfielder Kayley Kavanagh.

The Eagles will confirm its final 21-player team to face the Dockers at 3pm WST on Friday.

Bouncedown for Sunday’s clash is 3:05pm WST and it will be broadcast live on 7mate, Fox Sports and Kayo.
