Co-captain Liam Baker and key defensive pillar Harry Edwards are set to return for the West Coast Eagles’ first home game for 2026 against North Melbourne on Sunday.

The important duo have been added to the Eagles’ extended 26-player squad alongside midfield veteran Tim Kelly and recruit Harry Schoenberg.

Schoenberg could play his first game in blue and gold after serving a one-game suspension from the AAMI Community Series, while Kelly remains in the mix after being a travelling emergency in round one.

Baker returns from suspension from the final game of 2025 to lead the Eagles into action for the first time alongside Liam Duggan.

Edwards has been named at centre half-back and is set for a welcome return following concussion.

At this stage, Tom Cole (omitted) is the only confirmed change from West Coast’s team that lost to Gold Coast in round one.

The Eagles will finalise their 23-player team on Friday at 2pm AWST following main training at Optus Stadium.

Sunday’s match theme is Appreciation Round, celebrating the Eagles’ loyal and passionate members and supporters.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at Optus Stadium early with a new ticket scanning system implemented at the venue.

The match starts at 3.10pm and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7-plus in WA, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
