As part of All the Way West, the club continues to recognise a Member of the Round at every West Coast Eagles home and away match in 2026, celebrating the members whose commitment and passion help drive the club forward.
For Round 5, we’re pleased to spotlight Mark, an interstate member whose support for the blue and gold is built on belief in the club’s future and a love of being part of the Eagles community wherever the team travels.
Backing the future
For Mark, being a West Coast Eagles member is about commitment and confidence in what lies ahead.
“Being a member shows commitment to the team’s future successes,” he says. “It’s also about access to Grand Final tickets and some great member exclusive merchandise to wear and cheer.”
As an interstate supporter, membership keeps Mark closely connected to the club, even when he’s watching from outside WA.
A moment of perfection
When asked which moment he would relive in Eagles history, Mark points to one of the most iconic passages of play in modern AFL history.
“The 2018 Grand Final winning play,” he says. “McGovern to Vardy, to Flying Ryan, then on to Sheed for the winning goal. Perfection.”
Game day, interstate style
When the Eagles play in South Australia, Mark makes a day of it.
“As an interstate member attending a game in SA, I like to walk to and from Adelaide Oval,” he says. “It’s great to enjoy the pregame buildup and chat with fellow West Coast fans along the way.”
It’s a reminder that the Eagles community stretches far beyond Perth, with members connecting wherever the team runs out.
Eyes on the future
Among the current list, one player in particular has caught Mark’s attention.
“Duursma,” he says. “From what I’ve seen, he looks very calm with the ball in hand and has a great leg. A mustkeep player in the blue and gold.”
A message before bounce
If Mark could speak to the players before they run out for Gather Round, his message would be loud and clear.
“Welcome to the Parade aka Norwood Oval,” he says. “Go out there and play with intent, courage and play to entertain. Always aim to fly high.”
Through All the Way West, members like Mark show that whether you’re watching at home, travelling interstate or walking alongside fellow fans on game day, the passion for the Eagles is shared far and wide.
