Gerardi is an exciting and explosive small forward with enormous upside, whose athleticism, speed and competitiveness make her a constant threat inside 50. A highly talented dual-sport athlete, Gerardi committed fully to football earlier this year after balancing elite basketball and football pathways.
Previously Geradi trained within the West Coast Women’s and Girls Academy (NGAW), working closely with former Eagle Krstel Petrevski and current AFLW players Courtney Rowley and Belinda Smith.
Gerardi arrives at West Coast as a high-upside prospect capable of adding energy, flair and scoreboard impact to the Eagles’ forward line for years to come.
West Coast AFLW List and Recruiting Manager Jordan Loxley said the club had tracked Gerardi closely over several years, dating back to her Under-16 All Australian campaign, believing her draft position was impacted by her split sporting focus.
“To secure a player of her talent in the pre-season draft is a fantastic outcome for our club, and we’re thrilled to have her,” Loxley said.
“Sienna is an electric small forward who is equally good at ground level or jumping over opponents in marking contests. I’ve no doubt Sienna is going to excite our supporters for a long time.”
