What’s up my rock-blogger besties!?

I hope you didn’t get too wet on Saturday if you were at the game. I tried to flap my wings and go for a fly, but I only ended up spraying water on people around me. Oops! Sorry about that.

It’s safe to say that we didn’t really play a good game of football at the weekend, but don’t be upset. There’s sunshine behind every cloud, and we’ve now won five games in a row, with another big game coming up on the weekend.

Now, as an Eagle, I’m very proud of birds, but my cousins the magpies… well I’d really like to beat them this weekend. We haven’t beaten them at the MCG since 1995. That’s probably well before you were born, so let me tell you a little bit about that match. We only won by four points, and John Worsfold was our captain!

That’s right, before he was ever our coach (or Essendon’s) Woosha was running around on the ground as our skipper. Three other current coaches were playing that day too! We had Don Pyke, and Collingwood had current Pies coach Nathan Buckley and St Kilda coach Alan Richardson playing for them.

So, on Saturday, sit down on the couch and cheer loudly for our boys, and let’s see if we can come home with another win. Six wins in a row sounds waaay better than five wins in a row, let me tell you that!

Anyway, I’ll speak to you next week, but in the meantime, go Eagles!

Rick the Rock, over and out!
