Waalitj Marawar will host Friday night football at Optus Stadium on the run home for the 2026 AFL season.

The AFL has released the times and dates for rounds 16 to 22, with the Eagles scheduled to host two marquee matches under lights.

In round 17, the Eagles will wear their First Nations guernsey for a Friday night match on July 3 against Kuwarna (Adelaide) at Optus Stadium leading into NAIDOC Week.

A round 19 clash with reigning premier Brisbane has been set for 6.10pm on Saturday, July 19 as part of the club’s ‘Community Round’ recognising emergency services.

In round 20, the ‘away’ Western Derby on July 24 will be the first time WA’s biggest game will be played on a Friday night since 2005.

Waalitj Marawar will play early afternoon games against Carlton (round 16, Marvel Stadium), the Bulldogs (18, Marvel) and Richmond (21, MCG), allowing the team to return to Perth immediately after those matches.

Round 22 will see Collingwood travel west for a Sunday afternoon showdown from 2.10pm on August 9.

Rounds 23 and 24 have been left ‘floating’, however the Eagles will fly to Sydney's Engie Stadium to face the Giants in the penultimate round.

Waalitj Marawar will close out the home and away campaign in late August against Hawthorn at Optus Stadium.
