The West Coast Eagles will go into Sunday’s WA Day eve clash against Essendon unchanged.

Emerging trio Cooper Duff-Tytler, Tom Gross and Clay Hall were added to the extended squad on Thursday and will be the emergencies.

West Coast pushed Collingwood all the way in a 10-point defeat at the MCG last round, continuing to show signs of improvement in the build under Andrew McQualter.

The Eagles have gone down to Essendon in some thrillers in recent years, including a two-point defeat in the corresponding fixture last season, a six-point loss at Optus in 2024 and one-point loss at Marvel Stadium in 2023.

McQualter’s team are aiming to break a five-game losing run against the Dons and notch a fourth victory for the season in round 12.

Sunday’s clash starts at 5.20pm and will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network and 7-plus, as well as Fox Footy and Kayo.
