The West Coast Eagles have announced Rickie as the club’s 2026 Member of the Year, recognising his exceptional commitment to the blue and gold across all levels of the club.
Selected from this year’s Member of the Round recipients, Rickie has been acknowledged for his passion, loyalty and contribution to the Eagles community. A regular presence at AFL, AFLW and WAFL matches, he has continued to show his support for the club throughout the season.
His involvement also extends beyond attending games, with Rickie contributing to cheer squad activities and banner making, helping build the atmosphere and tradition that are central to the match day experience for members and fans.
Reflecting on the recognition, Rickie said being named Member of the Year was a significant moment for both him and his family.
“It meant a lot to me just to be picked for Member of the Round, but to be picked as Member of the Year is something I will hold close to my heart forever,” Rickie said. “It means so much to myself and my family.”
As part of the honour, Rickie tossed the coin ahead of the club’s round 24 match against Hawthorn. He will also receive two tickets to the John Worsfold Medal and a night’s accommodation at Crown Perth.
