A Passion That Runs Deep
For Michael, being a West Coast Eagles member is about supporting a Club that plays a significant role in his life.
"It means a lot. West Coast Eagles are a big part of my life. I get so much enjoyment watching the men's and women's teams, and being a member just makes sense supporting the team that brings me so much joy."
Like so many loyal Eagles members, Michael is invested in every moment of the journey. Whether it's following the AFL or AFLW side, his connection to the Club runs deep and continues to grow with every season.
Watching History Unfold
When asked to pick his favourite AFLW moment, Michael admitted it wasn’t an easy choice.
"Choosing one is hard! I'd say getting Daisy to the Club. She had such a big name in AFLW and came in with so much hype. Then there was making finals last year, and this year beating Brisbane and Fremantle for the first time."
For Michael, the AFLW journey has been filled with many memorable milestones. From breakthrough victories to a historic finals appearance, he has loved seeing the growth of the AFLW program and the belief it has built along the way.
Matchday, No Interruptions
Like many passionate supporters, Michael’s matchday routine starts well before the Eagles take the field.
"Mainly impatiently waiting for the game! I always watch it at home alone with no interruptions. When they play in Adelaide, I'm always there early decked out in West Coast gear."
Whether he's watching from home or making sure he’s among the first through the gates in Adelaide, Michael embraces every opportunity to cheer on the Eagles.
Excited by the Club's Future
Like many Eagles members, Michael has enjoyed watching the development of the Club’s emerging AFLW talent, with one player standing out in particular.
"Hard to pick one, but I'd choose Painter. I just love the way she goes about it. From game one she's been one of my favourites, and I love that she's signed on long term."
Michael admires Painter's approach to the game and is excited to watch her continue to develop as a key part of the Club's future.
Michael's Message to the Team
If Michael had the chance to address the players before they ran out onto the field, Michael's message would be simple and direct.
"Keep doing what you've been doing the last four weeks. Bring the pressure and kick more goals than Port!"
It’s a message that reflects Michael’s belief in the group and the excitement he feels as the team continues to build momentum throughout the season.
