For Round 10 of the AFLW season, we're proud to celebrate Treena, a passionate Eagles member whose matchday traditions and connection with fellow supporters has seen her cheer on the AFLW team through every step of the journey.
Belonging to the Eagles Family
For Treena, being a West Coast Eagles member is about much more than supporting the team. It’s about belonging to a community and sharing her passion for the Club with those around her.
"I feel part of something bigger than myself, a part of the blue & yellow tribe. Being with my people and cheering on our players is a thrill."
That sense of belonging is an important part of Treena’s connection to the Eagles. Sharing the highs and lows with her fellow supporters and cheering on the players makes being part of the Eagles Family particularly special for Treena.
Celebrating History
When asked to choose her favourite moment from the Eagles’ AFLW journey, Treena couldn’t split two significant milestones.
"Playing finals in 2025 and winning the first Derby last weekend."
From watching the Eagles play finals for the first time to celebrating a long-awaited Derby victory, Treena has loved seeing the AFLW program reach new heights in recent years.
Footy, Friends and a Pre-Game Picnic
Game day for Treena starts well before the first bounce, with catching up with her footy crew an important part of the experience.
"Meeting up with our footy crew before the game. We all bring picnic snacks and share a meal together. Catching up and talking all things Eagles."
Catching up over a pre-game meal and talking footy has become a treasured part of Treena’s matchday routine, setting the scene before the group heads in to cheer on the team together.
Keeping an Eye on Her Favourites
Treena has plenty of favourites among the current playing group, but is missing one particular player this season.
"I am missing Mikayla Western this season. I hope she is recovering well from her knee injury and we see her back soon.”
While Treena is looking forward to Western’s return, it’s been another player’s return from injury that has impressed Treena this season.
“My other favourite player who is exciting to watch is Beth Schilling. I love a defender and she's a ripper."
Treena’s Message to the Team
If Treena had the opportunity to deliver one message to the team before they ran out onto the field, she would keep it short, sharp and full of belief.
"Time to Hunt! Go to your destiny!"
It’s a message that perfectly captures Treena’s enthusiasm and passion for the Eagles. Whether she’s sharing a pre-game picnic with her footy crew or cheering on the team as they reach new heights, Treena is proud to be part of a community who all share a love for the Blue and Gold.
