West Coast Eagles key forward Amy Franklin has signed a three-year contract extension, committing to the club until at least the end of the 2029 season.
Franklin, a lifelong Eagles fan, joined the club ahead of the 2023 AFLW season in a trade with Fremantle, bolstering West Coast’s key-position stocks and becoming an important part of the club’s developing young group.
“I’m feeling very excited to be signing on again, I love this club so much and am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here,” Franklin said.
“It’s crazy to think I’ve already been here for four years, I have loved every bit of it, and I honestly just love being around this group, there’s never a dull moment and I just love being able to work with my best mates.
“We’ve got such a tight-knit group, and it’s been amazing to see the steps we’re taking in the competition, we’re hungry for more and I’m keen to see where this group can take up in the next couple of years.”
Franklin currently leads the team for goals kicked in 2026, with 11 majors from 10 games so far, and is currently averaging career-high disposals, marks and Fantasy points.
“Amy has shown significant growth this season, not only in her performances on field but also in the way she leads and influences the group,” AFLW List and Recruiting Manager Jordan Loxley said.
“She is a natural leader who sets standards within our group and is an important player in the direction we’re heading.
“We’re delighted to have her commit for another three years and excited to see her continue to grow her game and have an even greater impact on our team.”
