Jack Darling had his most dominant season in 2019, earning himself his maiden All Australian blazer in the process. Long the second ‘key’ target alongside the great Josh Kennedy, Darling took over the mantle as the Eagles’ most dangerous forward and booted a career-best 59 goals for the year.

Standout performance: Clipping the Crows

Darling was at his dominant best against the Crows in round 21 as the Eagles won a hard-fought battle to keep them at the top of the AFL ladder. Darling was everywhere with 16 disposals, nine marks, seven tackles, two goal assists, nine score involvements, and three goals of his own. He earned three Brownlow votes for his commanding performance at Optus Stadium.
