Long-serving Victorian-based West Coast Eagles recruiter Rohan O’Brien has been elevated to the list management role at the club.

O’Brien has been a part of the Eagles recruiting team for 30 years and will remain based in Melbourne in the new role, replacing former captain Darren Glass who stepped down from the position a few weeks ago.

“Rohan has been a highly valued member of our recruiting staff for many years, serving in a number of capacities,” Craig Vozzo, General Manager - Football, said.

“Aside from his current role as our National Recruiting Manager, he has been our forward scout and has been an integral part of our list management committee for the past 10 years.

“We examined our structure after the resignation of Darren and have great confidence in Rohan stepping into the combined role of our Recruiting and List Manager.

"He has proven himself to be an astute judge of talent over a long period of time and offers great insights on our list build strategies. It is a very natural progression and fit for us.”

O’Brien said he was looking forward to the challenge of taking on the list management responsibilities.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and I’m very keen to apply the skills I have developed over a long period of time into the list management role,” O’Brien said.
