Highly-skilled left-footer Jamaine Jones suited up for the first 10 games of the 2023 season, before suffering a significant ankle injury that saw him sidelined for almost three months. It halted what was a good start to the season for Jones, finding some good form across half-back, including a career-high 30-disposal game against Richmond in round eight. He returned for the final three games of the 2023 season and will be looking to complete a successful preseason and continue to build on his impressive form in 2024. Originally recruited in March 2020 as a Supplementary Selection Period rookie, Jones has progressed to the senior list and his versatility to play at both ends of the ground, not to mention his pace, make the former Cat a handy utility for coach Adam Simpson.
