Made his return to football in round one after missing more than 18 months due to a left knee reconstruction. Despite playing limited minutes, was straight back into being one of the most influential rucks in the compeition, helping guide the Eagles to a top-two position before he succumbed to a second ACL rupture, this time in his right knee. Still contributed to the Eagles' 2018 premiership in his assumed role as ruck coach.
