Former rugby sevens athlete Kellie Gibson made the switch to football after winning a gold medal at the Summer Youth Olympics in 2014. Gibson played previously for both the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne in exhibition games before moving to Adelaide, where she was an inaugural AFLW premiership player in 2017, and then spent two seasons at Fremantle. Gibson is one of the more senior heads at West Coast, playing her 50th AFLW game in the final round of the 2023 season. For the second consecutive season, Kellie finished as the Eagles’ leading goal kicker, managing eight goals from 10 games in 2024.
