Sarah Lakay stepped into the Eagles’ leading ruck role ahead of season seven and has continued to establish herself as one of the AFLW competition’s most exciting young talls. Standing at 186cm, Lakay earned a Rising Star nomination after a dominant 42-hitout performance against Fremantle and has built on that form with each season since. Her rise has come as no surprise after record-breaking results at the AFLW Draft Combine in both the standing and running vertical jumps.
