Premiership captain Shannon Hurn will return to the West Coast Eagles line-up for Saturday’s clash with Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, representing the first semblance of selection stability this season.

His inclusion for that of rebounding half-back Jamaine Jones, who was ruled out after the onset of delayed concussion, represents the only change to the team that played the Western Bulldogs last Saturday night.

After overcoming a calf strain that sidelined him for three weeks, Hurn, the games record holder, was an automatic recall.

That solitary change comes on the back of just four changes week-on-week leading into the Bulldogs game.

As numbers start to return, star midfielders Dom Sheed and Elliot Yeo will have a second game at WAFL level, the continuity the club has craved is starting to come.

While Hurn resumes to play game 310, Jones complained of concussion symptoms during the week and will sit out this weekend.

The club will make a decision on the medical substitute in the hour leading into the opening bounce, with wingman Patrick Naish, defenders Josh Rotham and Luke Foley, and key forward Hugh Dixon named on the interchange bench.

Rotham was the sub last week and was called into the game in the second quarter when vice-captain Jeremy McGovern was subbed out with a back injury. McGovern appears to have overcome the ailment to be named in the team.

Foley has missed two games under concussion protocols, while Naish and Dixon played with the WAFL Eagles last week.

Naish had plenty of the ball before checking out of that game at half-time to fulfil the role of the emergency at Optus Stadium.
