Tall trio Archer Reid, Jack Williams and Jobe Shanahan are in the selection mix for Sunday’s marquee WA Day eve match up against Geelong at Optus Stadium.

The promising big men are among five inclusions for West Coast’s extended squad, alongside Bo Allan and Hamish Davis.

The Eagles have lost two key position players for the Cats clash, with forward-ruck Bailey Williams (managed) and star goalkicker Jake Waterman (shoulder) out of the line-up.

Reid was managed following the round nine MCG trip to face Richmond after playing every game since his round one debut.

The emerging 19-year-old featured for the WAFL Eagles last weekend, when Jack Williams put his name up for a recall with four goals against West Perth.

If Shanahan is selected to debut when the team is confirmed on Friday he would follow in the footsteps of fellow 2024 draftees Allan, Tom Gross and Davis.

The strapping 18-year-old has been impressive at both ends of the ground over pre-season and in the WAFL, kicking 10 goals from seven matches.

Bo Allan will be hoping to add to his sole AFL match, while Davis last played in round seven against Hawthorn.

West Coast’s final 23-player team to take on the Cats will be announced at 3pm AWST on Friday.

Bouncedown for Sunday’s clash is at 5.20pm, with the match to be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network, 7-plus, Fox Footy and Kayo.
