The children of the club’s Platinum partner Mineral Resources (MinRes) were lucky enough to spend an afternoon learning valuable football and team building skills from some of the club’s most experienced players.
Overseen by Tim Kelly, Oscar Allen, Jack Graham, Jamie Cripps, Liam Baker and Eagles mascot Rick the Rock, the group of 87 participants took part in a variety of drills and games during the clinic such as goal kicking, football dodgeball, handballing and tackling.
With parents and families cheering on from the sidelines, the yearly event provides a great opportunity for MinRes’ metro and regional staff to come together and enjoy the facilities that they proudly support.
MinRes Site Manager CSI Michael Kennedy made the trip from Geraldton with his wife Kristie and their three children to take part in the clinic.
“This is the second time we’ve made the trip for it and it’s always worth it,” Michael said.
"The kids love being out on the oval with the players and it’s a bit of fun for us too”.
After scoring autographs and gift packs, the kids were treated to a delicious dinner to round out their afternoon – and even had the chance to shine on camera.
MinRes has been the naming rights partner of the Eagles’ world-class training, community and administration facility – Mineral Resources Park – since 2019. Their support ensures our AFL, AFLW, WAFL and Academy players have access to the high-performance environment they need to prepare, recover and perform at their best.
