The West Coast Eagles are ready to kick off their 2025 AFLW campaign, with three new faces to don the blue and gold on Thursday night at Mineral Resources Park.

Exciting midfielder Lucia Painter will make her AFLW debut, alongside young small forward Kayla Dalgleish.

Painter was selected with the Eagles’ first pick in the 2024 draft (No. 7 overall) and has instantly impressed with her strength, her overhead ability and elite penetrating kick.

Dalgleish arrived at West Coast with pick 57 in the 2024 draft, and has shown her speed, skill and relentless pressure throughout the pre-season.

Experienced AFLW ruck Liz McGrath will also make her club debut on Thursday night, pulling on the blue and gold for the first time after joining the Eagles from the Kangaroos in the off-season.

All-Australian forward and reigning club champion Ella Roberts will suit up for her fourth AFLW season, joined by newly appointed co-captains Bella Lewis and Charlie Thomas.

Second-year Eagle Jess Rentsch is set to shine through the midfield this season, making the move from defence and becoming an important performer through West Coast’s engine room during the pre-season.

Veteran midfielder and leader Dana Hooker makes her return, after missing the 2024 season with pregnancy and giving birth to her second daughter Zara in December.

Thursday's season-opener against the Suns kicks off at 7:15pm, and can be watched live on 7mate, Fox Footy and Kayo.
