Experienced duo Emma Swanson and Dana Hooker are confirmed starters for Sunday’s important home clash against Greater Western Sydney.

Swanson returns to bolster the backline following a one-game suspension, while Hooker has been named on a wing for her first appearance since round two.

The veteran pair, with 130 AFLW games and three West Coast Club Champion awards between them, are welcome inclusions for a season-shaping encounter against the in-form Giants.

Speedy small forward Kayla Dalgleish will miss her first game for the season due to illness in a blow to the Eagles attack.

Dalgleish has kicked five goals from six matches since being taken with pick 57 in last year’s AFLW Draft.

Kayley Kavanagh has been omitted for the 3.05pm bouncedown at Mineral Resources Park.

The match will be Kellie Gibson’s 50th AFLW game for the Eagles and Roxy Roux’s 50th career match in the competition.

Sunday’s clash will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7-plus in WA, and nationally on Kayo and Fox Footy.
