The West Coast Eagles are gearing up for a crucial round ten clash against Collingwood at Mineral Resources Park, with momentum and belief building after last weekend’s commanding win over GWS.

AFLW Senior Coach Daisy Pearce and midfielder Courtney Rowley reflected on the team’s growth and the importance of staying focused heading into the final stretch of the season.

“This week is about continuing to improve,” Pearce said.

“Collingwood have shown they can challenge strong teams, and we’re expecting a response from them after last weekend. We’re focused on our own development and hungry to keep learning.”

Rowley, who has enjoyed a consistent run of form and full pre-season after injury setbacks, echoed the sentiment.

“The vibe is really positive, but we’re locked into the process. We’re not getting ahead of ourselves we just want to keep getting better every week.”

The Eagles will also welcome back forward Lucia Painter, who returns from concussion protocols after missing several rounds.

Pearce confirmed Painter trained strongly and will be available for selection, adding depth to a side that’s steadily building form and confidence.

With finals within reach, Rowley said the team isn’t feeling the pressure but is embracing the challenge.

“We’re not focused on the ladder we’re focused on how we can improve today, at training, in meetings, in everything we do.” Rowley said.

Back-to-back home games have also been a welcome boost for the squad.

“It’s great for routine and recovery,” Rowley said.

“We love playing in front of our home crowd, and we’re hoping to see plenty of support again this weekend.”
