Elite West Coast Eagles midfielder Ella Roberts has been named in the 2025 All-Australian team for the second consecutive year.

Roberts had another outstanding season, further solidifying her name among the best players in the League, and becoming the first AFLW Eagle to be recognised with two All-Australian nods.

At just 20 years of age, Roberts displays skills and football smarts well beyond her years, with the ability to single-handedly create momentum shifting moments during a game.

"I feel very honoured to make the team again, back-to-back selections is very special and I’m really proud," Roberts said.

“I just always want to improve and each and every year, I get to the end of the season and just can’t wait for the next year because I know what I can improve on.

“This year, a lot of that was just consistency and my work rate, so to be rewarded again with making the All-Australian team is really cool.”

The Peel Thunder product elevated her game to another level this season, managing an average of 23.8 disposals, 7.3 tackles, 3.8 clearances and 104.8 Fantasy points per game, all career-highs.

Roberts finished third in the League for contested possessions (182), fourth for contested marks (17) and eighth for Fantasy Points (1258).

“Ella’s selection in the All-Australian team is very well deserved,” West Coast Eagles senior coach Daisy Pearce said.

“It’s well known what she can do with the ball in her hands, she’s so exciting in the way that she plays.

“What we really value about her is her competitiveness and tackle pressure as well, I think the balance she has in those parts of her game have really grown and it’s so important to us.

“She comfortably sits right up there with the best players in the competition, and back-to-back All Australian selections is just a testament to her ambition of always wanting to improve.”
