The West Coast Eagles will face Fremantle in a pre-season match simulation training session as preparations continue for the 2026 AFL season.

The match simulation will take place on Saturday, February 21 at Victor George Kailis Oval in Cockburn, with the session getting underway from 9am AWST.

The hit-out will be played in a format consisting of four 25-minute quarters, with no time-on or cap on interchange rotations, allowing both clubs to manage player workloads while maintaining competitive intensity.

With round one fast approaching, the match simulation will provide an important opportunity for the Eagles to continue building fitness, cohesion and match readiness against opposition.

The match simulation will be closed to the public, however the session will be broadcast live on Kayo and Fox Footy.

Fans can attend the Eagles’ official pre-season match against Port Adelaide on Sunday, March 1 at Mineral Resources Park.

General admission (subject to capacity) for the AAMI Community Series clash will be free for competing club and AFL members and kids.

Tickets will go on sale in February, with further information to be communicated by the AFL.
