The West Coast Eagles hit the track on Friday morning for a high-energy session, building strong cohesion during a competitive four‑quarter match simulation.

Waterman back to his best

Powerful forward Jake Waterman delivered one of the standout performances of the session, looking dominant and polished around goal.

Waterman was a constant presence inside 50, finishing with multiple accurate set shots and several clean takes at ground level. His timing on the lead was sharp, and he consistently found separation to give his midfielders a reliable target.

It was a continuation of his strong summer to date, with the experienced Eagle showing he’s primed for a big year.

Allan takes flight

Down back, Bo Allan produced several highlights in an entertaining display.

Allan attacked contests with confidence, leaping strongly to pull down multiple intercept marks and reading the ball superbly in flight.

His rebound work was equally impressive with clean hands, decisive movement and penetrating kicks that launched attacking chains.

Around the ground

There was strong contribution across every line as the session unfolded.

Elliot Yeo injected plenty of energy during the periods he joined match play, clearly relishing his time back with the group.

Tom Cole settled comfortably into defensive rotations after overcoming a finger tendon injury.

Reuben Ginbey set the tone with his aggression, booming kicks and relentless pressure from the back half, while Tom McCarthy continued to showcase his composure, clean hands and ability to step through congestion before delivering forward with precision.

Harley Reid was dynamic once again, exploding from stoppages and providing powerful link‑up play that resulted in a composed finish from Jobe Shanahan.

Sandy Brock remained steady in the air, taking several strong marks, and Jack Williams delivered one of the moments of the morning with a soaring grab over teammates before converting in front.

Tom Gross was lively and consistent, involving himself in multiple scoring chains and finishing with a well‑taken goal.

Winged Eagles continue their builds

Recovering from an ankle injury, Brady Hough spent the morning ticking off controlled laps around the boundary, while Sam Allen progressed through his ACL rehabilitation with structured movement patterns.

Bailey Williams completed tailored conditioning away from the main group, and Jack Hutchison kept his loads controlled with bike work along the boundary.
