Ticket scanning has changed in 2026

Optus Stadium has updated ticketing turnstiles in line with other stadia around the country, which means the way you use your tickets has changed.

Accessing tickets through the West Coast Eagles app:

  1. Your tickets will display a live digital barcode. This barcode cannot be screenshotted, as it refreshes continuously.
  2. Line the barcode up with the red light under the main screen. If it says invalid, click refresh on the app and try again.

Accessing tickets from your digital wallet (Apple & Google Wallets):

  1. These tickets will not display a barcode. They are tap-and-go tickets.
  1. Simply tap your ticket on the PayWave logo at the front to enter the venue.
Pedestrian access to Optus Stadium has changed in 2026

Due to the development of Perth Park, Perth's premier entertainment and sporting precinct, the pedestrian path connecting Optus Stadium and Crown Perth through the park will be closed.

Pedestrian access to and from the stadium is via the Camfield Drive path, Riverside path or Victoria Park Drive path.

Public transport

Public Transport is included in the cost of your match day ticket, with free travel on Perth’s buses and trains three hours either side of the match. If asked, please show your ticket to the driver or inspector.

Remember to plan your journey with Transperth’s Journey Planner.

Gate opening times

Gates at Optus Stadium will open 90 minutes before the match in 2026. Gate C will still open two hours prior to the first siren for curtain raiser matches.

Early arrivals for curtain raiser matches will be restricted to a small viewing area until general seating opens.

Eagle Eats – exclusive food and beverage deals

Eagle Eats is back in 2026, now, Beat the Siren! Thanks to our partnership with Optus Stadium, you can enjoy more exclusive food and drink deals from gates open until the first siren.

The offer can be found on the West Coast Eagles website via the What’s On page each Wednesday before match day.

Reusable cups

From round 2, all tap beers will be served in reusable plastic cups at Optus Stadium (replacing the existing paper cups), to reduce single-use waste and support a more sustainable fan experience.

After enjoying your drink, simply return your cup to a designated reusable cup bin.

Full-strength beer will now be available in general public areas alongside existing mid-strength options.
