Tall defender Sandy Brock and small forwards Malakai Champion and Matt Owies have been called up for their first AFL appearances this season at Optus Stadium on Saturday.
West Coast have made three changes from the team which notched back-to-back wins over Port Adelaide, with star veteran Elliot Yeo (adductor), midfield recruit Deven Robertson (suspension) and forward Jacob Newton (foot) unavailable.
Brock provides extra support for Reuben Ginbey and Tylar Young tackling Sydney’s tall forward setup, led by gun recruit Charlie Curnow.
Champion will add to his two appearances from rounds 17 and 18 last year, while Owies resumes after playing 16 matches in blue and gold in 2025.
Elijah Hewett, Tom Cole and Bailey Williams have been named as emergencies for the 4.35pm clash.
Back at home for their second Optus appearance this season, the Eagles are aiming for three-straight wins for the first time since rounds 7-9 in 2021.
Saturday’s match will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo, and will be delayed on 7mate and 7-plus in WA (6pm) and New South Wales (8.30pm).
Fox Sports 3 (channel 503) and Kayo will provide Hindi commentary as part of the Cultural Heritage Series match highlighting the Eagles’ connection with Indian culture and community.
