The WAFL Eagles produced a strong comeback to secure their first win of the season, overcoming West Perth 17.5 (107) to 12.20 (92).

Senior coach Kyal Horsley said the result reflected the collective effort across the group.

It was pleasing to see our young group and the program as a whole, rewarded with a win for the work they’ve been putting in,” Horsley said

“We showed real resilience coming back from 35-points down midway through the third quarter to win by 15-points.

“From my perspective, the most pleasing part was that it was driven by desperate team defence and selfless offence.”
