The WAFL Eagles produced another strong comeback to post back-to-back wins, finishing strongly against Subiaco 12.9 (81) in a 16.12 (108) triumph.

Senior Coach Kyal Horsley said the game against the Lions followed a similar pattern to the round two match against the West Perth.

“Subiaco controlled much of the first half and into the early stages of the third quarter, holding a lead of around 20 to 30 points,” Horsley said.

“To the group’s credit, they stayed calm, continued to trust our system, and kept playing for each other.

“When the momentum swung, they capitalised strongly and pulled away in the final quarter. The level of composure and maturity they’re showing is well beyond their years and reflects the real progress being made both individually and collectively.”
