General manager of football Craig Vozzo said the star duo had recovered from their respective calf and shin issues and would be ready to fire against the Pies if selected.

Jetta missed West Coast’s round 23 battle with Brisbane after reporting calf tightness following the Eagles’ encounter with Melbourne, while Kennedy has been absent from the senior team for the past five weeks with his ailment.

“Jetts has trained really well over the last week and a half. He’s looking better and better with each session,” Vozzo said.

“He virtually trained fully last night and on the basis that he gets through training tomorrow he’ll be available to play and we highly expect that to be the case.

“JK has trained really well over the last week and a half as well. He’s had a good, solid block of consistent training and we are really happy with the level he’s got to this point.

“Our (strength and conditioning) guys will have him train almost fully tomorrow and that being the case we expect him to play on the weekend.”

Unfortunately Vozzo did not have as good news regarding West Coast big men Tony Olango and Fraser McInnes.

Olango is staring down the barrel of a long stint in the club’s rehabilitation group after damaging a hamstring tendon, while McInnes will be sidelined for at least a fortnight as he attempts to overcome a nagging adductor injury that kept him out of East Perth’s elimination final with Claremont on Sunday.

“Big Tony unfortunately suffered a setback in his rehab training with his hamstring, which unfortunately required surgical intervention to repair a tendon,” Vozzo revealed.

“He’s had that procedure, that’s been successful and he’s now working his way back through the process of rehabilitation, which will take several months to get right.

“Fraser has unfortunately tweaked the adductor area again. It’s been a bit of an ongoing problem through the course of the last two months, which he has managed quite well. But it got to a point where he was, unfortunately, not available to play on the weekend.

“We’re hoping with a couple of weeks off we can get him back training to still play a part with our squad as we hopefully progress through the next few weeks.”
