Tall forward Jack Williams is in the mix for his first game of the season against St Kilda after being named in an extended 26-player squad for ANZAC Round.

Williams played 41 games over the past three seasons but has been stuck behind West Coast’s emerging group of big men in the selection queue this year.

The 22-year-old is a chance to face the Saints with Archer Reid (knee) unavailable.

Reid and veteran forward Jamie Cripps (omitted) are confirmed changes for Sunday’s clash at Marvel Stadium following the Western Derby defeat.

After a dominant WAFL performance, ruck Matt Flynn returns to the extended squad for a potential battle alongside Bailey Williams against Saints big men Tom De Koning and Rowan Marshall.

Small forward Malakai Champion has been included after strong WAFL form, including three goals, 20 disposals and 11 score involvements last round.

The versatile Ryan Maric and experienced defender Tom Cole have also been brought into the extended squad, which will be finalised at 3pm AWST on Friday.

Sunday’s clash gets underway at 1.10pm (11.10am AWST) and will be the Eagles’ first meeting against 2018 premiership star Liam Ryan in his new colours.

The match will be broadcast live in WA on 7 and 7-plus, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
