Waalitj Marawar defender Rhett Bazzo and midfielder Tom Gross are in the mix to play their first AFL games for 2026 against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

Bazzo and Gross are among five inclusions in the 26-player extended squad for the Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash, alongside Matt Flynn, Bo Allan and Jack Williams.

The Eagles have managed exciting young tall Cooper Duff-Tytler after playing all nine games so far in his first season, while Harry Edwards is in the concussion protocols following another head knock against Narrm.

Bazzo and Gross have been in strong WAFL form recently and will be hoping to add to their 28 and eight career games, respectively.

Flynn, Allan and Williams were among the better performers in the WAFL Eagles' loss to reigning premier South Fremantle last round.

Waalitj Marawar's final 23 to face the Giants at Optus Stadium will be confirmed at 3pm AWST on Friday.

Sunday’s match starts at 4.15pm and will be broadcast live on 7mate and 7-plus in WA and New South Wales, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
