The WAFL Eagles took on Peel in challenging conditions last Sunday. The blustery, rain-soaked conditions led to a scrappy contest, with the bigger-bodied and more seasoned Peel outfit grinding out their fourth straight win, finishing 8.7 (55) to 4.9 (33).

“In games like that, the result is decided at the contest and in moments,” coach Kyal Horsley said.

“While we were up for the fight and our contest and endeavour were strong, Peel were able to capitalise on key moments and convert some difficult chances, which proved the difference.”
