West Coast midfielder Jack Graham is in line to return for Saturday’s clash against Carlton and is one of six Eagles listed as tests.
Graham has not played since suffering a shoulder injury against Geelong in Gather Round but has been building strongly towards a comeback.
“Jack was very close to playing in the game against North Melbourne,” High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said.
“He has been full training over the last two weeks and if he gets through training this week, he will be available to play.”
Young gun Willem Duursma (calf) and half-back Tom McCarthy (hamstring) were both unavailable against the Roos following minor soft-tissue setbacks.
“Willem was in during the bye to make sure he did everything he could to get ready for Carlton,” Merriman said.
“He has trained fully over the last week, and as long as he gets through training on Thursday then he will be available.
“Similar to Willem, Tom was in during his break. Tom trained fully on Saturday and has produced good speed. Once he completes Thursday, he will be available.”
Forward Jack Hutchinson has also completed his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury and is on track to be available for his first match since round 10.
“’Hutch’ has ticked off all the boxes and will be available this week as long as he gets through training,” Merriman said.
Hamish Davis and Matt Owies entered the concussion protocols after head knocks before the bye and are tracking to be available.
“Hamish is moving through the protocols as expected, and we have been monitoring his symptoms closely,” Merriman said.
“Similar to Hamish, Matt is also moving through the protocols in the right direction.”
Standout defender Reuben Ginbey has already commenced his reconditioning program following the quad injury he sustained against Port Adelaide earlier this month.
“Reuben, as you would expect, has already jumped into his reconditioning program,” Merriman said.
Meanwhile, Sam Allen has returned to running as he continues his recovery from knee and hamstring injuries.
“Sam has returned to run and will build his volume over the coming weeks,” Merriman said.
Harry Edwards is in concussion protocols, while young forward Archer Reid’ knee issue requires further examination.
“Harry remains in the concussion protocols and is in good spirits around the club,” Merriman said.
“Unfortunately, Archer's knee has persistent soreness. We are working with our knee specialist to determine the next steps.”
