The West Coast Eagles came through their round one clash with GWS unscathed, with no new injuries to report from the season opener.

Liz McGrath will spend the coming weeks working through her rehabilitation after sustaining a hamstring injury at training ahead of round one.

"At training last week Liz sustained a moderate level hamstring injury which meant she was unavailable for the round one clash," High Performance Manager Sam Batterton said.

"Liz will work on hitting some strength markers before increasing intensity in her running and change of direction."

Midfielder Kayla Dalgleish (hamstring) continues to make encouraging progress in her recovery and is nearing a return to team training.

"Kayla continues to build her strength and is increasing her running speed,” Batterton said.

“She will continue to work through her rehab this week before reintegrating into some team training next week.”

There has been positive progress for Lily Paterson, who is continuing to tick off key rehabilitation markers following her hip injury.

"Lily is progressing well and has progressed to full weight bearing day to day. Lily will now build her strength and prepare for a return to run," Batterton said.

Courtney Rowley's rehabilitation from an ACL injury remains ongoing, while defender Jess Rentsch remains sidelined as the club continues to manage her foot injury.

"Jess has remained off legs as we look to settle the symptoms associated with the bone stress in her foot," Batterton said.
