Star midfielder Harley Reid has joined an honour roll of West Coast Eagles champions after being crowned the 2026 John Worsfold medallist.
In front of more than 800 attendees at Crown Perth on Friday evening, Reid capped an outstanding third season in blue and gold by claiming his maiden Club Champion award.
The 21-year-old polled 260 votes across 23 matches, finishing clear of runner-up Jake Waterman (209) and resurgent veteran Tim Kelly (193).
The John Worsfold Medal is the standout achievement in Reid’s growing collection of individual honours, continuing his stunning career trajectory since he was drafted at pick No.1 in 2023.
Reid’s professionalism and leadership went to new levels this year as he averaged 24.6 disposals, 13.4 contested possessions and 6.6 clearances, with the promise of much more to come.
Waterman’s second placing was his highest Club Champion finish after a 49-goal season which saw him claim the Goalkicking Award for the second time.
Kelly, the 2023 John Worsfold medallist, averaged 24 disposals across 21 matches and earned a podium finish for the third occasion in his seven seasons at West Coast.
Mature-age recruit Milan Murdock (170) capped a remarkable first season by finishing fourth, having joined the Club just two weeks before his round one debut.
Brady Hough (166) took out fifth place for the third-straight year after performing impressive shut-down roles in midfield and defence.
In other awards, Reuben Ginbey received the prestigious Chris Mainwaring Medal as Best Clubman and was Best Defensive Player for the second season in a row.
Ginbey led a tight count for the John Worsfold Medal after 13 rounds with 159 votes to Reid’s 149 but didn’t play again after injuring his quad against Port Adelaide.
Young gun Willem Duursma was named the Emerging Talent winner after a brilliant debut season which saw him finish third in the AFL Rising Star award and seventh in the Club Champion.
Ruckman Matt Flynn claimed the WAFL Best and Fairest award ahead of runner-up Fin Macrae and third-placegetter Tom Gross.
WAFL Eagles player Justin Prior received the Eagles in the Community Award for his work coaching North Beach’s Integrated Team in the Perth Football League.
West Coast also inducted four new Life Members during the evening, with Jack Cowin, Scott Selwood, Jason Ball and James McMahon receiving the honour.
Retiring premiership forward Jamie Cripps was officially farewelled after playing 261 games and kicking 323 goals as an Eagle.
All medals presented on the night were beautifully designed and created by Stefan Diamonds.
