AFLW team selection: Rowley returns for Essendon encounter

The Eagles have confirmed their 21-player team to take on the Bombers on Friday

The West Coast Eagles have made two changes to the final team to take Essendon at Windy Hill on Friday.

Exciting midfielder Courtney Rowley will suit up for the first time this season, returning from an ACL injury that she sustained in round eight last season against the Pies.

Rowley will be a big boost to the lineup, the Peel Thunder product epitomising resilience and hard work, and will bring her poise and skill around the contest.

Rowley is joined in the team by Abby Bushby who missed last week’s win over St Kilda due to a one-week suspension.

The duo come into the side for Zoe Wakfer (concussion protocols) and Sienna Gerardi (omitted), with Gerardi, Roxy Roux and Sanne Bakker named as emergencies.

The match starts at 10:05am WST on Friday and will be broadcast live on the 7 Network in WA, and nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
