The West Coast Eagles will begin their 2027 AFL season at home after being locked in to take on Gold Coast at Optus Stadium in round one.

The Eagles will face the Suns at 3.10pm AWST on Sunday, March 21.

It will be the third-straight season West Coast and Gold Coast have met in round one, and the fifth occasion since 2021.

Eagles recruits Jack Viney and Trent Rivers could make their blue and gold debuts in the season-opener at home.

West Coast has already been confirmed to face Richmond in Gather Round next season at Norwood Oval on Saturday, April 10.

Further fixture details for the 2027 premiership season are yet to be announced by the AFL.
