The West Coast Eagles WAFL team has been assigned official home games for the first time after the formal release of the 2020 fixture today.

While the WAFL Eagles were assigned only away matches in 2019, their first in the State’s premier competition, they will play two home matches at Mineral Resources Park next season.

The Eagles will play against South Fremantle on Easter Saturday (April 11) and in round 19 against East Perth (August 16) at their home base. Two ‘away’ games against co-tennant Perth Demons, means the WAFL Eagles will play four games at Mineral Resources Park during the season.

The first of those games against Perth is the season-opener and will be followed by the Easter clash against the Bulldogs, effectively giving the Eagles two home games to start their campaign.

The WAFL has also aligned its mid-season bye in June with the AFL fixture, allowing the whole West Coast squad to take a break at the same time.

The Eagles’ qualifying season will end with the round 20 fixture against Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium on August 22.
