While the deficit was only 15 points at three-quarter time, the Sharks' score blew out and the final result was 15.9 (99) to 7.11 (52).

“East Fremantle really increased their pressure around the ball, and they started to move the ball really well, and started to score a bit too easily,” Head of Development Gavin Bell told westcoasteagles.com.au.

“We improved in the second quarter, got to work and played to the best version of ourselves, got back in the game and narrowed the gap.

“But to East Fremantle’s credit they were able to maintain their energy and intensity for longer than us.”

See how the Eagles’ AFL-listed players performed below:

Jarrod Brander

Played managed minutes, but he was really impressive in the way he went about his footy, attacked the ball strongly, used the ball well

Jack Petrucelle

Coming back from the AFL side, he was exciting with his speed and his work rate was really high for his game time. Pleasing to see Jack respond coming back into the WAFL side.

Alex Witherden

Improved as the game went on.

Isiah Winder

Continues to impress with his speed and his work rate, and his energy around the ball and around the contest.

Luke Edwards and Zane Trew

Continue to be impressed by their approach, continuing to work as hard as they can to improve their footy.

Callum Jamison

Played his first game for the club, so it was great to see Jamo out there for half a game, getting some match minutes in and building his body in preparation for some more time this week. He’s a forward-ruck, so we’ll play him in the forward line as we build his strength and his body to compete against the men. We’ll use him in the ruck as well, he’s an exciting talent, he’s really competitive and he’s a great kid. We’re really excited for what he’s going to bring.
