The 26 year old played 132 games for the Lions and featured in three Grand Finals, becoming one of the competition’s most reliable and disciplined small to medium lockdown defenders. Known for his no fuss approach, competitiveness and ability to win contests both in the air and at ground level, he often took on the opposition’s most dangerous small forwards and thrived in the role. Starcevich now adds valuable experience and leadership to the Eagles’ young defensive unit, mentoring the likes of Reuben Ginbey and Brady Hough alongside established leaders Liam Duggan and Liam Baker.
